Our Vet Techs at The Pet Stop Are Ready to Help

Stephanie

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Stephanie has been with The Pet Stop since October 2019. However, she has been working as a veterinary nurse since 2015 and obtained her license in December 2019. She grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and has also worked at practices in Florida and California. Stephanie is a mother to two daughters, her cats Dahlila & Celeste, and her dog Zelda. In her downtime, Stephanie enjoys being outdoors, crocheting, gardening, and reading.

Ginger

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Ginger has been working as a Veterinary Technician since 1999. She joined The Pet Stop team in July 2002. She enjoys running, hiking, cross-country skiing, and other outdoor activities with her three children and two dogs.

Emily

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Emily joined The Pet Stop team in 2015. She moved to Alaska from Wisconsin in 2011 after spending her summers growing up at a fishing lodge on Lake Clark. She enjoys hiking, fishing, and participating in multiple dog sports with her border collie mixes Outlaw and Pivot, and her cattle dog Waylon.

CC

Licensed Veterinary Technician

CC is a licensed vet tech originally from Colorado. CC moved to Alaska in 2006. She has a BA from Colorado State University and has worked with animals her whole life. She has been a technician in Washington State, Colorado, and now Alaska. She has 3 daughters, 2 dogs and a cat. She lives with her family in Chugiak.

Elizabeth

Licensed Veterinary Technician

A lifelong Alaskan, Elizabeth has been here at The Pet Stop since the summer of 2016. She graduated from Wilson College in Pennsylvania, in the spring of 2016, with a degree in Veterinary Technology and Biology. When not at the clinic, she can be found outdoors with her corgi, Lewis, or trying to do various projects with her two kittens “assistance”.

Jenessa

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Jenessa earned her Veterinary Science Technology degree in 2017 and joined The Pet Stop in 2018. Jenessa has two Border Collies whom she spends many hours throwing frisbees for on the weekends. When not playing with her pups, she loves reading, riding her horse, and mountain biking.

Terry

Technician Assistant

Terry has been in Alaska since 1989 and with The Pet Stop part-time since 2000 helping out as needed as a Technician Assistant as well as Receptionist. Her love of animals and the people that care for them is what keeps her here. When not at work she enjoys her dog Millie, being outdoors, camping, riding bikes, and hiking.

Michelle

Vet Tech Assistant

Hi, My name is Michelle. I moved from San Antonio to Alaska in the Summer of 2021. I have always enjoyed being around and working with animals. I started my animal career as a groomer/ bather but decided I wanted to learn more about my furry friends. Now I am working at The Pet Stop learning how to become a Vet Tech Assistant! I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to grow in a field I love so much.

Karen

Vet Tech Assistant

Karen has been with the Pet stop for over 25 years. She is a mother of four and a proud grandma of one! She has many cats and dogs that keep her busy. Karen enjoys knitting, crocheting, camping, and being involved in church activities.

Shelia

Vet Tech Assistant

I moved to Alaska in August 2021 and joined The Pet Stop in 2022. I like to hike in my free time and cannot wait to explore Alaska.

Cristal

Technician Assistant

Cristal was born and raised in Alaska. She has two cats and has been with a tech assistant with The Pet Stop for over 20 years.
