Andie, LVT
Andie grew up in southeastern Indiana and obtained her B.S. in Wildlife Science from Purdue University in 1990. Ten years later she realized her passion was veterinary medicine and returned to college. She received her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology from Murray State College in May 2001, and became a Licensed Technician that August. It has been Andie's good fortune to have The Pet Stop as her sole employer since March 2001.
Aside from her time at tech school, Andie has been living in Alaska since 1994 and shares a home with her husband, Chris, and cats Junie, Korbel, and Hinkle. At work, her particular areas of interest are pain management, feline medicine, and oncology. Away from work she enjoys reading, playing softball, hiking, and traveling.

Christina, LVT
Christina has worked at The Pet Stop since 1999. She enjoys working with companion pets and has a special interest in geriatric care.

Ginger, VT
Ginger has been working as a Veterinary Technician since 1999. She joined The Pet Stop team in July 2002. Ginger is a lifelong Alaskan. She enjoys outdoor activities with her husband, children and their pets. |

Jayne, LVT
Living on a farm in the Midwest in her early years fostered Jayne's passion for animals. After several years post-education working as an Office Manager, she decided to advance to the pursuit of her love for animals and become a veterinary technician. Jayne graduated form the Medical Institute of Minnesota (MIM) in Bloomington, MN in 1997 and became a licensed Veterinary Technician in 1998, earning licenses in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. She has been licensed in Alaska for the past few years.
Jayne relocated to Alaska in 2000 and started at The Pet Stop in 2006 after working with two other established Anchorage veterinary clinics. She continues to enjoy the challenges and rewards of working with animals, large and small, exotic and non-exotic, and flight and flightless. Jayne has been the President of the Alaska Veterinary Technician Association (ATVA) since 2004 and is an active member of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) since 1997. She enjoys many outdoor activities such as running, and hiking, as well ask knitting, reading, and scrapbooking.

Chrishawna, VT
Chrishawna was raised in Monticello Minnesota. She has always had a passion for animals especially horses. She graduated from Minnesota School of Business with an A.A.S. Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2011. She ventured to Alaska in May of 2011 and joined the Pet Stop team shortly after arriving. |

Jessica, LVT
Jessica joined The Pet Stop team in 2008 after moving to Alaska from Louisville, Kentucky. She has worked as a Veterinary Technician since 2001 and received her license in 2009. Jessica has 3 dogs, 2 cats and a wide variety of other pocket pets. |

Abbey, Technician Assistant
Abbey grew up in Alaska and started at the Pet Stop in 2010. She graduated from Matsu College with a certificate in Veterinary Assisting and hopes to continue her education and become a LVT in the future.
She enjoys spending her time with her two Labrador retrievers, Kodiak and Cooper and her two cats, Frankie and Gracie. |

Julie, Technician Assistant
Julie joined the Pet Stop in 2011 as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. After earning her B.S. degree in Biological Sciences in northern Michigan, she ventured to Alaska in 2008. While pursuing her passion of helping animals, she moved throughout the Pacific Northwest, finally deciding to make her home in Anchorage. She is currently attending classes with the goal of becoming a licensed veterinary technician in the next couple years. Outside of work, Julie spends her time studying birds, skiing, fishing, reading and exploring Alaska with her husky mix Oliver.

Karen, Technician Assistant
Karen started working at The Pet Stop as a receptionist in 1994. She has held many different jobs, and is currently a veterinary technician assistant. Karen stays busy as a mom to four children. She is active in AKC agility trials with her border collies. |
